How are you people? I hope you have rested and enjoyed yourselves. It is now time to do your work. Please be reminded that the OSL personal reflections are to be given to Sabrina by tomorrow, Friday, 5 December.

Also, Mr Tan has set-up an OSL forum in the school LMS. Please log in by tomorrow to write in about your OSL experience.

Last Week before departure

Dear OSL members,

Please be reminded that the following week is the last week before our departure to Cambodia. As of today, we have exactly one week before we leave Singapore. Hence, we have a few things that are very important in teh following week:

Monday (10 Nov) – General/EXCO Meeting
Tuesday (11Nov) – Final Logistics & Packing (Tentative)
Thurs(13 Nov) – Weigh personal luggage

You will be getting your OSL T-Shirts either on Thursday or Friday.

Update on OSL

There will be a general meeting on 18th August 2008. The venue will be at 2E3 Classroom at the time is at 3.30pm. Please be present.

Also, you are to get your passport photocopied for the particulars and where it shows the validity date of the passport. You are to pass them to the teachers on 15th August.

In addition, please confirm with your committee head if you are joining the OSL team this year, local or overseas. THis is needed for administration matters.

Okay, Hi everyone, Many did not come for today’s meeting due to ccas and other commitments. So, this is the meeting minutes.

Minutes by respective committee.

*The whole of IT not present

Fund Raising Committee:

Planned for the new head for Fund Raising Committee.

(Appointed by group members themselves)

- New Head: Tan Farahlina

- Vice-Head: Nur Adibah

- Secretary for committee: Bernice Seow

Brainstormed for Fund Raising on Racial Harmony Day.

- Plan to sell satay, meruku, ketupat etc.

- Have gotten the website: http://www.ezb.com.sg/product_category.asp?rid=13

- Finding the amount of satay bought last year

- Planned on how to finish the marshmallow

- Informed Mr Chia to contact the ordering of satay & ketupat

Learning Committee:

Plan on English lessons (Rough & Simple Ideas)

- Word building;

- Make sentences: Chinese whisper (pass the message)

- Hang Man

- Mother Tongue (Malay, Chinese, Tamil) [If possible]

- Poetry

- Song

- Health Education [If possible]

- Incentives

- Test [If possible]

Logistic Committee:

Promoting of the donation of old recycled items.

- Halijah & Alisa will speak to the school about this

- Distribute flyers (Design team to design)

- Small booth for the collection.

There will an OSL General Meeting this Monday, 14 July 2008. Time will be from 3 – 4pm. Venue is to be confirmed. It is an important meting for all.

There will also be new appointment of members.

Hi everyone. Welcome back to school and I hope you all are enjoying your first week in school. Haha.

I am glad to see that the statistics shown that the blog is viewed almost everyday. I even have 32 views of this blog on 22 June 2008, the last day of the holidays.

There will be an OSL meeting on Monday, 30 June 2008. It is at 3pm. You are to inform your fellow OSL mates.

As a step to ensure that members of the OSL Team do visit this blog so as to make this blog a useful one, I will have to require you to do the following:
~ Take note of the figure and the date of the given information of the statistics.

Please note that there will be a GENERAL meeting on 19th June 2008, Thursday. This meeting will be on the fourth week of the holidays and it is to plan out the necessary before school reopens.
The meeting will be held at the canteen from 10am to 12pm.

Also not to forget, those who are supposed to submit anything to their respective heads/teachers, please do so by the dateline given.
Be responsible and always do your duties well!

~ End of Minutes ~

I hope that all of you have enjoyed the bonding camp. I would like to apologise on behalf of the whole ExCo if we have not done enough for the bonding camp to be a wonderful one and also if we made a bad impression on you people. We would always try our best to make sure OSL’08 would be a fun and exciting one which memories would always last.

Note to all Design and Infocomm Committees members, there will be meeting on the 9th and 11th of June. The venue would tentatively be at the Jurong Regional Library (Top floor).

Bonding Camp

I would like to give a gentle reminder to all OSL Members about the upcoming camp. The bonding camp is held on 22 May 2008 to 23 May 2008. All OSL members need to report at 2.30pm while all 3E5 students report at 2.45pm. Please do have your lunch before attending the camp. The camp would end at 7 in the morning on Friday itself. Council Board ExCo Members please do not forget to bring along your whites as there would be duty on Friday as there would be Meet-The-Parents Session that afternoon. For Muslims students, please do not forget the necessary items for prayers for the camp.

All OSL members please do not forget to hand in your signed consent forms to Mr Joshua Tan and the T-Shirt sizing to our HR/Head of Welfare, Wong Kai Sheng.

May all of us enjoy ourselves during the camp.

IMPORTANT ALL OSL MEMBER 2008!

There will be a meeting on monday, 21/4/08, Time, 3pm-3.45pm for all members, and 3.45pm to 4.45pm for EXCO

This will be the last meeting before the exams. Mr Joshua Tan have placed the latest notice of meeting on his locker, which we will from now on call it “OSL Locker”. Only Sec 3 Class Comm members will be excused.
